The Nationalization of Doctors
Who says 'slavery' has to only come in the form of racism? What if it came in the form of a collectivization of individuals based on a common chosen profession, say..doctors?
The closer Healthcare, I mean Obamacare, I mean Socialized Medicine, I mean Doc Slavery, becomes a reality, the further I sense we are from the ideals that made this nation great. Some pundits are saying there is no repealing this, as if it were set in buckyball stone. Some are saying, it won't survive the courts, or the wrath of 90% disapproval. The Doctors so far, are silent. Are they moving 401K funds now? Shopping for RV's? Packing up for Florida? Arizona? Mexico? I don't know. One thing for sure, we could see, within the next 24 hours, the death of a profession, and the birth of the worlds largest buerocracy. A tipping point, at which the professionals exodus, and the regulators rise.
I think there are still things to be optimistic about. But I am sure many on the right said the same thing when social(ism) security was passed. Over a decade later, Ike was President and we accomplished...well, never mind. Barry Goldwater ran in 64 and we....never mind. But then, Ronald Reagan came along and we...ah, the hell with it. Newt Gingrich led the charge and, well, here we are, nearly a century later, having lost ground on every front to the left, though we may have won a few battles, the war is near over now. One thing though, that 90% diapproval of this Bill..a CBS poll..will that number grow? Do slaves mind being slaves?
